1) Programmer/Analyst
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Analyzes all requests for software development and changes; reviews and writes specifications; writes and debugs code according to defined standards; tests and implements new system or system changes.

Trains new employees, clients, and others, as needed, on the use of software systems and related hardware.

Assists in test of co-workers code.

Analyzes work processes and recommends automation opportunities.

Designs systems and applications.

Leads application project teams and trains other programmer/analysts in information systems practices.

Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.

Physical Requirements: Performs Light Work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Preferred experience, Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Training: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 5 or more years of related work experience. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of computer systems, hardware and software operations and principles; computer programming and processing techniques; computer theory and principles, practices and methods of electronic data systems; programming language knowledge dependent of applications including Powerbuilder, Informix, and other languages as needed; operating systems knowledge dependent on application; including Microsoft Windows, and Unix (AIX). Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Analyzing complex problems by applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter and symbolic logic; creating and writing computer programs for user ease; developing written instructions, flow charts, and documentation; operating data processing and peripheral equipment.

Communicating clearly and concisely; verbally and in writing; working independently from general instructions; and maintaining effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.



2) POSITION TITLE: Supervisor, Software Administration
REPORTS TO: Manager, Production Operations
FLSA: Exempt

PRIORITIZED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
With general supervision and moderate decision-making:
Manages architecture of client/server platform configuration, including implementation of business unit/departmental applications (Including e-mail, web applications, and client applications)
Assumes primary responsibility for the performance of business applications, including solving the range of interoperability issues that may exist in the environment.
Works with clients in prioritizing information requirements.
Develops project plans and monitors progress against plan.
Plans team resource needs; allocates and supervises.
Communicates plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management.
Has key responsibility for ensuring active regular communication between software administration team and other operations teams and for smooth integration of applications into the enterprise IT infrastructure.
Shares responsibility for overall end-user/customer satisfaction.
Leads the effort in creative approaches to problem solving in support of the business needs.
Hires and trains technical staff; prepares and conducts performance reviews.
Communicates needs and schedules to IT and clients; ensures plans are in place and adheres to standards.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL

Experience with Back office applications, relevant server platforms (NT, directory services, SMTP/MIME, X.400, client/server). Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management. Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence; strong business planning skills. Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations. Technical proficiency in software and relevant hardware, functioning as a consultant to other IT groups as a recognized technical leader. Solid project management skills with ability to manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. Blending of creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills for refining existing systems and /or developing new approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels. Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishers rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding. Ability to operate under a dual reporting relationship if necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus highly desirable. Seven to eight years of information systems experience, with tree to five years of demonstrated management/supervisory experience. Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities to relationship management.

Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups. Demonstrated competency in project management and execution of multiple and/or large projects. Successfully developed and implemented new work processes or process improvements. Gained experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems. Technical proficiency with relational database technology and multiple platform tools; experience implementing packages, working with vendors. One to two years business unit experience and sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving. Experience in effectively managing small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. Solid business and communications skills.

3) POSITION TITLE: AIX Administrator I
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Platforms Administration

ROLE PURPOSE: To achieve industrial grade stability in the productions operations environment by performing the following actions in priority order:
System Stability and critical problem resolution
Cross training and mentoring
Daily Problem Resolution
Career Development
Project Assistance to PT&I

PRIORITIZED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
With minimal supervision and much decision-making:
Performs problem resolution for major system instability outages.
Maintains and supports the AIX environment (includes daily monitoring, after-hours response to network failures, and normal network processes such as backup/restore and user setup).
Performs disaster recovery functions for the AIX environment.
Works within the framework of operating policies and standards developing new network and platforms procedures as needed.
Develops and maintains technical documentation for the AIX environment.
Performs AIX performance analysis, tuning and troubleshooting.
Works within the change management process to schedule down time for AIX systems for maintenance and upgrades.
Installs, relocates, removes or upgrades AIX server software, applications or hardware as needed.
Coordinates the maintenance of the inventory, including spare parts, for the AIX environment.
Tests quality assurance activities associated with the AIX environment and AIX applications.
Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors, and cultivates alliances with vendors, where applicable.
Assists with establishing application and NOS support standards.
Participates in the development of IT processes.
Provides 3rd level reactive problem resolution for the AIX environment, including hardware and Operation System.
