Rogers State University Employment Opportunities
Rogers State University is currently accepting applications for the position of Systems Specialist. This position will be responsible for maintaining the website and network infrastructure, and, management of servers. Applicants should have experience in server management or a willingness to learn. A Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science, preferred, not required.
This person would report directly to Jan Carroll (previous SHSU faculty member). They are building a network from the ground up, pretty much. Mrs. Carroll says it is quite challenging but the administration is giving them money to work with. They have adopted NT as their server software for email and their web server machine. This position will also be managing a VMS machine that they are going to run all the library software on.
The applicants do not have to have experience. Even though experience is preferred, they will take the best applicant. They are willing to train, if necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, etc.
