Montgomery County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office Employment Opportunity
1. You will maintain the tax office database and modify and create programs that access the database. The database is Unidata running on an IBM AIX 4.3 system. The programs are written in Pick Basic. There are 3 other offices that connect to the AIX box using dumb terminals.
2. Also in the office is a Novell network linking up 25 windows 98 pc's. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of this system.
3. The tax office is also looking to make it's database accessible to the web. You will probably be allowed to do it the best way you see possible. Before I left I was working on using Java Servlets.
